Katie
Miller was born in Homer, Alaska on November 10th, 1990. She is an artist,
musician, and active sports enthusiast. In 1998, Miller’s drawing
of an Alaskan moose won her a blue ribbon at the Ninilchik State Fair...
the “Biggest Little Fair in Alaska.” Today she attends Homer
High School.
The
Trouble With Bernie was Katie’s first book project as an illustrator.
Bernie Jones and the Blazing Bandits was her second. Her inspiration
comes from many places. Her home is situated in a beautiful location,
her life is filled with activities, and she has many friends.
One
of her teachers describes Katie Miller as happy, hard working and not
willing to settle for anything but the best.
